New Heckmondwike colour ranges to make their mark at the Surface Design Show
The 2012 Surface Design Show will mark the debut of the newly updated Supacord and Broadrib fibre bonded carpet ranges from Heckmondwike. The refreshed ranges retain the impressive characteristics that have helped them earn long-term popularity but now offer new colourway options which present an extended range of specification and design possibilities. New sample cards for both ranges will be available to architects, designers and contractors who visit the stand. The extended range of Supacord colourways further increases the versatility of this cost-effective, British-made carpet. Because Supacord’s rugged, fibre bonded and narrow-rib construction allows it to be cut and laid without the danger of fraying, bespoke designs can be created which enable the carpet to become an integral part of any interior design scheme. Available in 2m and 4m widths plus a carpet tile option, Supacord represents an ideal choice for school, college, retail and office accommodation projects. Offering a distinctive wider rib construction and more defined surface texture that is equally well suited to this type of project is Heckmondwike’s Broadrib range. With a new selection of colourways now available, this British-made carpet delivers antistatic and anti-slip performance, excellent acoustic properties and impressive thermal insulation characteristics. “The revised Supacord and Broadrib ranges both reflect the ‘Material Thinking’ theme of the show as they have resulted from the many thoughts and opinions that our customers have contributed,” explains Heckmondwike Marketing Manager, Abby Chandler. “Both ranges have earned a position as first-choice floor coverings for different types of projects, but we felt that it was time to make some subtle changes so that they can go on exceeding the expectations of our customers as they have done in the past.” Visitors to stand 284 will also be able to enter the Heckmondwike Countdown competition. “To illustrate the way our carpets can be cut and matched with great accuracy, we’ll be asking contestants to arrange a selection of ‘carpet letters’ into as many words as they can, against the clock,” adds Abby Chandler. “There will be a variety of prizes on offer and we’ll have a Top Gear style leaderboard to keep track of everyone’s progress.” Details of other Heckmondwike carpet ranges will also be displayed on the stand. These include the Montage and Momentum fibre bonded carpets from the company’s Creative Flooring range. Montage combines an attractive and distinctive random surface texture with outstanding performance for education and commercial projects. The striking cross design of the Momentum commercial carpet is ideal for large spaces such as offices and colleges and its outstanding durability makes it perfect for high-traffic areas such as corridors. These carpets will be complemented by information on Heckmondwike’s individual design service, which allows bespoke carpeting solutions to be created for many different types of application.
