Installation of our products should be undertaken by a recommended flooring contractor with a good reputation. Before installation, the flooring contractor should prepare the sub floor in accordance with BS5325 (The installation of textile floorcoverings). During the laying period, a temperature of at least 18ºC must be maintained and a floor temperature of at least 15ºC. The type and condition of the subfloor has a direct influence on the installation and performance of the floorcovering and the importance of subfloor preparation cannot be underestimated. Sub floors should be clean, dry and flat and timber floors should be covered with plywood or other appropriate sheet materials. Sheet carpet should be fully adhered, tiles can be laid using a tackifier. Before laying, tiles should be allowed to condition for a minimum of 24 hours at the expected temperature and humidity prevailing when the building is in use.
