Installation of our tufted carpet should be undertaken by a recommended flooring contractor with a good reputation. Before installation, the flooring contractor should prepare the sub floor in accordance with BS5325 (The installation of textile floorcoverings). During the laying period, a room temperature of at least 18ºC must be maintained and a floor temperature of at least 15ºC. The type and condition of the subfloor has a direct influence on the installation and performance of the commercial carpet and the importance of subfloor preparation cannot be underestimated. Sub floors should be clean, dry and flat and timber floors should be covered with plywood or other appropriate sheet materials. Carpet with imprevious foam backing should be fully adhered.
